·         Elements of Painting (ARTT 320): introduction to traditional oil painting mediums, solvents, supports and techniques; review of color theory.  Fall semester, 2006.

·         Interrelation of Art and Art Theory (ARTT468B): a twelve student seminar examining perspectives on modernism and postmodernism with emphasis on cross-disciplinary thinking in contemporary artmaking practices. 

Spring semester, 2005.

·         Introduction to Art Theory (ARTT 150): a 75 student lecture hall class w/three attendant discussion sections; surveys 2000+ years of philosophy, critical thought and art-historical narrative from Plato to the Postmodern.  Each term from Fall semester, 2003, to the present.

·         Elements of Drawing (ARTT 110 & ARTT 110S): Maryland's introductory drawing course; line, texture, and value; open/closed composition; open/closed form; basic introduction to color harmonies.  Fall semester 2003; Fall semester 2004; Spring semester, 2005, Fall Semester, 2005; Spring semester, 2006.
